Well, lil' Kenji's now 3 weeks old and just finished a whole week in the arms of Grandma and PopPop. Apparently, he wore them out. Below is the picture of them on the last night of their stay.

So today we got to bring our little Kenji home! He ate, he slept, he pooped, so far it's been pretty uneventful, but delightful nonetheless. These are some of the last pics of Kenji's time in the NICU.

Update: Still on track to come home Wednesday. A very strong healthy boy.

One Day Old

Well, here's the latest. He has to stay in the NICU for a week's course of antibiotics because he has pneumonia. We'll be discharged on Friday and he'll have to stay through next Wednesday. We are bummed, but we know he's getting great care and will be just fine. He's very healthy looking and his breathing is getting better.


And he's just so darn cute.


Daddy is very proud and keeps telling everyone that we have the cutest baby that ever was. They make quite a pair.

The first time I got to hold him. All I have to say is that an epidural is magical.

Whoa, that was fast....

He's here! Baby Boy Toombs made his arrival today at 3:22pm. 7 lbs. 7oz, 19.5 inches long. Mom and Dad are doing fine, Baby Toombs has to be in the NICU for observation for 3 days because of a fever, (Mom has one too) and some minor breathing issues. Here's a glimpse of the little man.
